Message from the President
Welcome to our North Shore District Dental Society Website!
We are a district of the Massachusetts Dental Society and as such, all of our members are members of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association (ADA), and adhere to the tenets and code of ethics of these organizations.
We are committed to serving our community and we seek to uphold high standards for our profession through peer review and our ethics committee.
We endeavor to provide opportunities of continuing education for our members to enable them to keep current with the latest developments and technology in dentistry. We support and encourage fluoridation in our communities and help to provide programs for children and adults, through our schools, health fairs and other related activities. We monitor legislation and attempt to support access and assure the public of the highest levels of dental care.
The purpose of our website is to acquaint you with our organization and facilitate finding a dentist in a given area. By accessing www.ada.org, you can even print out a map showing the location of the dentist chosen. Originally, our website was designed merely as a membership directory for other dentists. We have only recently offered it as another public service of our organization. Ultimately, you will be able to go to individual websites of member dentists who wish to use the internet as a means of acquainting you more fully with themselves and their own office.
For now, it is only a local membership directory with some general information. But if you have questions about dentistry, you may access www.massdental.org or www.ada.org, our state and national websites, were we constantly update and seek to serve the public with information on current topics of interest and seek to answer questions of concern to the general public.
We hope to serve you better by expanding our site in the future.
